The selected products this time focused on making up for the shortcomings of the industrial chain and the high-end product. After formal review, expert pre-evaluation and expert on-site evaluation, 15 products such as photovoltaic-grade EVA resin (V2825) of Jiangsu Silbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. were finally selected.
Photovoltaic-grade EVA resin is a new material made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer after processing. It is mainly used in the production of photovoltaic film. It is an indispensable packaging material for photovoltaic modules. It has the characteristics of high light transmittance, ultraviolet resistance, resistance to wet and heat yellowing, and can directly determine the product quality and service life of photovoltaic modules.

Under the background of the national "dual carbon", the demand for photovoltaic EVA resin continues to grow rapidly, and the average annual compound growth rate is expected to reach 28% in the next three years.
At present, there are only a few enterprises in China with the mass production capacity for photovoltaic-grade EVA resin, with import dependence remaining as high as 70%. While the foreign monopoly has caused domestic manufacturers to bear the high cost of raw materials, it is also subject to people in terms of delivery cycle and other aspects.

At present, the annual production capacity of Sierbang Petrochemical EVA has reached 300,000 tonnes. It accounts for 31% of the total domestic production capacity, of which photovoltaic-grade EVA production capacity exceeds 200,000 tonnes, accounting for 28.6% of the global photovoltaic-grade EVA production.
As an important part of Shenghong's world-class new energy new materials industry cluster, the company is planning to expand the EVA production capacity to 1 million tonnes/year, further replace imports, improve the self-sufficient rate, and provide a stable guarantee for the national clean energy transformation.
