On May 16, the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project's successful launch activity was held at the Lianyungang National Petrochemical Industrial Base. This marks that the official commissioning of Shenghong's 16 million tonnes/year refining and chemical integration project, the largest single-process in China, has been put into production. The construction of the core "large chemical" raw material platform for the Shenghong Group's diversified industrial chain that is the "1+N" new pattern has been completed, realizing the complementarity of "oil, coal and gas" mutual supply, and that the new energy and new materials industry cluster is accelerating its rise.

At 6:18 on May 8, 2022, the 16 million tonnes/year of decompression distillation device of Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project successfully produced products, and all passed their respective tests. This marks the successful operation of the constant decompression distillation device of the refining and chemical integration project with the largest single set of crude oil processing capacity in China.
After the project is put into production, it will greatly improve the self-supply rate of China's bulk basic chemical raw materials, effectively reduce import dependence, and provide raw material guarantee for the subsequent "extended chain" development of new energy, new materials, electronic chemistry, biotechnology and other strategic emerging industries. At the same time, it will promote the transformation and upgrade of the manufacturing industry and inject surging momentum into the high-quality development of the national petrochemical industry.
On May 16, 1992, Shenghong staggered from a small factory in a village in southern Jiangsu, shouldering the heavy responsibility of the country, daring to be the first in the world, and developing and growing into a typical representative of China's private economy all the way. Thirty years later, Shenghong Refining and Chemical, a major project that changed the pattern of China's chemical industry, was officially put into production. This is not only a revelatory gift for the 30th anniversary, but also foreshadows that Shenghong will set off again from this occasion.
