On December 31, CCTV featured a report on the full commissioning of the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project. The report stated that the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project, the largest single-unit project in the country, has become fully operational in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. With a total investment of 67.7 billion yuan, the project has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 16 million tonnes and an annual ethylene production capacity of 1.1 million tonnes, producing the aromatics, olefins, and other chemical products that are in short supply in China. This will increase the supply rate of major basic chemical raw materials and is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrade of the national manufacturing industry, building a world-class new energy and new materials industrial cluster, and achieving high-quality industrial development.
