Integrate into the national strategy to win the first opportunity
"Outlook": The Central Economic Work Conference proposed to further promote the energy revolution and accelerate the construction of an energy power. How can Shenghong understand the conference spirit of "steady words first, seeking progress in stability", and how to integrate into the national strategy of "standing first and then breaking, steadily fighting"?
Miao Hangen: Accelerating green transformation is not only an inevitable requirement for enterprises to improve their competitiveness, but also the core of Chinese manufacturing to win the international market. As a leading enterprise in the industry, we are deeply aware of the great responsibility and strive to "gold content" from "green content" and strive to create three "world-class".
Build a world-class green industry cluster. Based on the advantages of the industrial chain, the Group took the lead in the strategic transformation of new energy and new materials. Taking the refining and chemical integration project as the platform, we will create a "1+N" new pattern of core raw material platform + diversified industrial chains such as new energy, new materials, electronic chemistry, biotechnology, etc., and provide raw material guarantee for the "extended chain" of strategic emerging industries.
Build a world-class green production system. Implement a large number of energy-saving, water-saving and emission-reducing technology transformation projects to achieve source reduction, process control and recycling; establish green workshops, factories and parks to form a green supply chain. The environmental protection investment of projects in the upstream of petrochemicals accounts for 9%. In the future, we will focus on exploring the path of carbon-zero technology.
Build a world-class green whole industry chain. Not long ago, at the Global Industrial Internet Conference held in Wuzhen, the "Hongyun" smart industrial Internet platform was rated as one of the top ten typical promotion cases of the year, which not only realized the upstream and downstream "big data connectivity" and the digitalization and intelligence of production management, but also improved the level of energy conservation and emission reduction, and the energy consumption of hydropower was reduced by 15.4%.
"Outlook": The petrochemical industry is large in scale, has many products and a wide range of radiation. It is not only a high-carbon industry, but also a decisive industry of low-carbon technology, which is of great significance to economic transformation and upgrade. Against the goal of "dual carbon", how can the Shenghong Group make a good start?
Miao Hangen: Shenghong has paid close attention to the national strategic direction. In 2008, we introduced postdoctoral researchers who studied the "carbon footprint" and took the lead in controlling heat and reducing emissions. Recently, three "million-tonne" ecological projects of EVA, acrylonitrile and degradable materials have been started one after another.
Innovation helps the new energy industry. China's new energy industry is developing rapidly, but the supply of photovoltaic-grade raw materials such as EVA is insufficient. The photovoltaic-grade EVA products independently developed by the Group have reached the international advanced level, effectively ensuring the energy transformation. For the upstream raw materials of carbon fiber, the acrylonitrile production capacity of the second phase of Sierbang Petrochemical will reach 780,000 tonnes, becoming the largest domestic production capacity of its kind.
Change carbon into treasure to build a zero-carbon factory. The Group innovated and launched the industrial chain of "carbon dioxide capture and utilization - green methanol - new energy materials" to recycle carbon dioxide in industrial exhaust gas and convert it into new materials. The design scale is 150,000 tonnes/year, which is equivalent to the carbon emissions of 15 sets of large petrochemical units, which can indirectly reduce 550,000 tonnes/year of carbon.
Technical reform and efficiency to stimulate green kinetic energy. Through energy saving and consumption reduction transformation, resource recycling, technology level improvement, etc., we will realize the full coverage of all sections of the "national green factory", adhere to the leadership of innovation, improve the level of resource utilization, and make "green, low-carbon and recycling" a shining business card for Shenghong.
Committed to innovation to enhance global competitiveness
"Outlook": Starting from printing and dyeing, and then laying out chemical fiber, petrochemical and oil refining, the Shenghong Group has opened up the whole industrial chain from "a drop of oil" to "a strand of silk" and is among the world's top 500. In the face of world economic changes, how to seize the global industrial highland?
Miao Hangen: For 30 years, we have focused on only one industrial chain. Our idea is simple: to strive for excellence in our business and to make our industrial chain more self-reliant and controllable. The National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, which we spearheaded, is the first national-level manufacturing innovation center in Jiangsu Province. Shenghong Chemical Fiber is hailed as a "global expert in differentiated fibers" and possesses international pricing power for several core products.
The source of chemical fiber is oil. There is often a supply gap in the imported main raw material PX. We should respond to the situation. The "double chain" layout of aromatic hydrocarbons and olefins promotes the integration of refining and chemical industry, and realizes the control of the source of the ultra-long industrial chain. The proportion of scarce chemical products has increased from about 50% to more than 70%. After going into production, the import of China's basic chemical raw materials can be reduced by about 10%. More than 80% of raw materials and products can be supplied to each other in the Lianyungang base, forming a complete high-end petrochemical industry chain closed loop.
Promote the construction of a standardized system for the recycled fiber market, jointly launch the "China Fiber Carbon-Zero Action" with the China Textile Federation, build a reliable platform for green fiber products through blockchain technology, supply chain traceability system, etc., create a green textile industry standard system, and guide the industry to abandon the traditional growth model.
"Outlook": Innovation is the inexhaustible driving force for enterprise development. How does Shenghong strengthen its innovation chain and industrial chain, leveraging its integrated refining and chemical project to drive multiple cutting-edge strategic deployments?
Miao Hangen: The Group is focusing on the forefront of international industries, planning ahead of time and a high-standard layout, and creating a new ecosystem that runs through the innovation and industrial chain. We set up an "Advanced Materials Research Institute" in Shanghai, and will establish sub-centers in Beijing, Jiangsu and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to integrate top scientific research elements at home and abroad to form an innovation system of "1 core system + 3 sub-centers + N platforms". At the same time, a 10 billion science and technology research and development fund and a 10 billion industrial transformation support fund are planned to realize the integration and promotion from basic research to industrial application.
Focus on the needs of major national industries such as photovoltaic power generation and aerospace, accelerate the bottleneck technology of new materials, and strive to build a high-tech industrial group with "strong basic raw material guarantee capacity, world-leading scientific research and innovation ability, and world-class new energy and new material supply capacity" during the 14 Five-Year Plan.
