On December 15, 2025, Zhu Min, Chairman of the Suzhou CPPCC, led a team to Wujiang District for a special visit and research on private enterprises. The research group visited the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, listened to relevant introductions, and fully affirmed the various innovative achievements of the center. The National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center is led and established by Shenghong Holding Group, making it the first national manufacturing innovation center in China to be led by a private enterprise. The innovation center alliance, based on the principle of 'building an innovation chain around the industrial chain', attracts more than 160 member units, including leading industry enterprises, universities, and research institutes, forming a full innovation chain alliance covering basic research, technology development, product manufacturing, and commercialization applications. The innovation center focuses on ten key laboratories including polymer synthesis, high-performance fibers, and nanofibers, breakthroughs in key common technologies, and the construction of an evaluation system covering more than 140 testing items, providing support for the independent and controllable development of domestic fiber technology.
During the research, Zhu Min pointed out that Wujiang private enterprises, represented by Shenghong, have demonstrated strong innovation momentum through intelligent transformation and industrial chain collaboration. He stated that efforts will be further made to leverage the bridging role of the CPPCC, continuously optimize the business environment, support enterprises in targeting international cutting-edge technologies and strengthening industrial chain collaboration, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Suzhou's manufacturing industry.
