Over the past two years, the center has broken through the fiber interface processing technology, made a green breakthrough in antimony-free and flame-retardant polyester fiber preparation technology, innovated and organized the scientific research of safety and protective fibers, led the formulation of a key technological innovation roadmap, formed the core competitiveness in China's advanced functional fiber field, created a world-class "gathering place" of innovative resources, and added the "strongest brain" to the industrial integration of the Yangtze River Delta.

Walking into the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center in Shengze Town, and seeing the results of the center's independent innovation in the past two years in the exhibition hall, brings on a high-tech visual feast. Therein, fiber interface treatment technology integrates the technical resources of colleges and universities, and develops all-matting polyester FDY and POY special oil agents to realize the independent control of domestic oil agents to break the monopoly of foreign chemical fiber oil agents; flame-retardant fibers conquer the key common core technologies of the industry, realize the large-scale production and application demonstration of products, form independent intellectual property rights, ensure industrial safety, and improve international competitiveness; antimony-free fiber technology replaces antimony catalysts titanium catalysts, solves environmental pollution, provides strong support for the healthy development of the industry, and also forms a complete technical system for high-end industrial textiles and functional textile new materials. A number of key core technologies have made breakthroughs and entered the stage of achievement transformation, achieving a historic breakthrough of China's new fiber materials known as "from 0 to 1".
