On October 9, 2022, under the whole process of maintenance by maritime patrol boats of the maritime department, six tugboats worked together. The first 300,000-tonnene VLCC-class crude oil ship "Yuanjinhu" in Jiangsu Province successfully docked, and the #171 crude oil berth of Shenghong Refining and Chemical Port Storage Terminal carried out crude oil unloading operations, which marked the full opening of the raw material import channel for the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project.

VLCC is the English abbreviation of Very Large Crude oil Carrier, which means a super-large tanker with a load capacity of between 200,000 tonnes and 300,000 tonnes, which is equivalent to the shipment of about 2 million barrels of crude oil. With its strong transportation capacity and excellent logistics economy, VLCC tanker has become a well-deserved "top V" in the crude oil transportation industry.
Dongfang Dagang, a giant ship. The "Yuanjin Lake" ship successfully docked at Shenghong Refining and Chemical Wharf this time has a total length of 330 meters, a width of 60 meters, and a volume comparable to that of an aircraft carrier. It is the first 300,000-tonne VLCC crude oil ship moored in Jiangsu Province. The successful mooring of the Yuanjin Lake ship marks that the Xuwei Port Area of Lianyungang has realized the all-weather and normal navigation of 300,000 tonnene oil tankers, and opened up a safe, smooth and convenient maritime logistics channel, which is a new leap in the realization of strong development towards the sea.
Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integrated Supporting Port Storage Terminal has been completed and put into use one 300,000-tonne crude oil berth and four 50,000-tonne liquid bulk berths, with a total shoreline length of 1,670 meters. As one of the most important supporting facilities of Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Project, Shenghong Refining and Chemical Terminal will provide a stable and sufficient raw material guarantee for the production of rear devices. It is important in supporting Shenghong to build a world-class new energy new materials industry cluster. It is also a key node to promote the formation of a land-sea linkage channel and accelerate the integrated development of port areas and parks.
