Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council, Shares Shenghong's Green Innovation Case at the World Economic Forum

On January 21, the World Economic Forum 2025 Annual Conference was held in Davos, Switzerland. Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, delivered a special speech at the meeting. When introducing the general trend of green low-carbon transformation of China's economy, Vice Premier Ding shared Shenghong's green innovation case, which is also the only case shared by the Vice Premier at the meeting.

Vice Premier Ding mentioned in his speech that under the empowerment of new material technology, a Chinese enterprise can produce a T-shirt with polyester silk extracted from 8 plastic bottles and a windbreaker with 28 plastic bottles, which can consume more than 30 billion plastic bottles every year, truly achieving a win-win situation for ecological benefits and economic benefits.

The Vice Premier also introduced Shenghong Recycled Fiber Products. The Shenghong Holding Group began to mass-produce recycled fibers in 2018, and built the world's first recycled fiber production line from bottles to spinning, with a production capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year, which can consume more than 30 billion waste plastic bottles, becoming the world's largest recycled fiber producer. At present, Shenghong Recycled Fiber has become the designated procurement product of more than 30 brands at home and abroad, and the terminal products such as clothing and home textiles are deeply favored by the market.
