Front page of People's Daily Reports Achievements in Shenghong Petrochemical's Digital Intelligence
On December 12, the front page of the People's Daily published "Important Progress in the Construction of the Modern Industrial System", which reported the digital and intelligent production of Shenghong Petrochemical.
"Equipped with sensors such as lidar and integrating functions such as acoustic, optical, and infrared detection, intelligent robots conduct all-weather inspections; the central control room screens display real-time updates, allowing engineers to monitor device operation online and optimize parameters accordingly… At Sierbang Petrochemical Company in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, the production of propylene products has been fully realized through intelligent and digital processes. “Continuously improving the level of intelligent manufacturing and digital collaboration across the entire industrial chain will make resource-intensive, continuous-operation petrochemical enterprises more robust and competitive”, said a relevant business leader from the Shenghong Petrochemical Industry Group." The report uses Shenghong Petrochemical's digital and intelligent production as an example to introduce the achievements in China's "intelligent transformation and digital upgrade”.
In recent years, Shenghong Petrochemical has actively explored ways to empower high-quality development through digitalization. On June 28th of this year, Shenghong Petrochemical, in partnership with Honeywell, released the white paper "Dual Technology Integration, Operational Excellence: Honeywell-Shenghong Petrochemical Smart Factory Practice," using the Shenghong Sierbang Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) unit as a benchmark case. The white paper proposes leading data-driven strategies and operational excellence methodologies to help promote high-quality development and digital transformation in the industry. The Sierbang PDH unit is the first in China to combine process technology and intelligent technology applications to achieve fully intelligent production and digital operation. The unit's automation rate has increased to over 95%, and it is the first in China to utilize a proprietary carbon emission calculation formula for real-time online monitoring of carbon dioxide emissions, significantly improving energy conservation and emission reduction levels. Simultaneously, Shenghong Petrochemical utilizes 5G+AI technology and intelligent inspection robots to achieve 24-hour unmanned inspection of the unit.
