CCTV Pays Attention to Shenghong Innovation Platform to Help Transformation and Upgradie of Traditional Industries

On January 22, CCTV's "Economic Half Hour" column focused on Jiangsu's promotion of the transformation and upgrade in traditional industries. The National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, led by Shenghong Holding Group, provides various technological innovation services to traditional textile companies and strongly supports industrial upgrade and renewal.

According to CCTV reports, textile is Jiangsu Province’s traditional advantageous industry, and its total industrial scale ranks first in the country. In order to promote the transformation and upgrade of traditional industries, Jiangsu will take the lead in implementing the traditional industry rejuvenation project in the country in 2023, kicking off a development process oriented to high-end products, intelligent equipment, modern processes, green efficiency, and digital production.

At a textile company in Shengze Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, the reporter saw a jacket fabric that uses nano-scale bio-based microporous film, which has good moisture permeability and perspiration performance, improving comfort. This product is widely favored by the market. Although the price is 20% more expensive than ordinary fabrics, supply is still in short supply, and the company has received more than 10 times new orders.

This core technology comes from the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center. It brings together the R&D team resources of universities and enterprises, allowing scientific and technological achievements to go out of the laboratory and onto the production line, empowering industrial development.

We call it 'all things can be woven'. Fiber technology is the underlying technology. It can not only be applied to civilian textiles, clothing, and household items, but more importantly, it can also be widely used in areas that meet major national needs." said Mei Feng, chairman of the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center.

As the country's first national manufacturing innovation center led by a private enterprise, the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center has brought together more than 160 members including leading industry enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutes to build a full innovation chain innovation alliance from basic research, technology development, product manufacturing, and commercial application. The innovation center focuses on high-end fiber materials and textiles, functional new fiber materials, cutting-edge new fiber materials and other fields, accelerates the research and development of core key technologies, and solves a number of common problems for the development of the industry.
