On June 30, Shenghong Printing and Dyeing launched the textile PFAS solution open day. Thereby, Shenghong Printing and Dyeing togas taken the lead in launching the PFAS control plan for the whole process of textile production in the industry, leading the green transformation and upgrade of the printing and dyeing industry.

Green transformation is a must for enterprise development”, said Hu Yifei, executive deputy general manager of the printing and dyeing sector for the Shenghong Holding Group, adding that as the printing and dyeing enterprise with the largest production capacity in the world, Shenghong has always adhered to sustainable development, explored the path of green and low-carbon development through technological innovation with a management upgrade, and demonstrated the high-quality development of the industry.
In recent years, Shenghong Printing and Dyeing has taken multiple measures to promote the green transformation and upgrade of the industry, undertaken major technical equipment projects in the field of greening and intelligent printing and dyeing, promoted the localization of key technical equipment, and built the world's leading green intelligent printing and dyeing factory. This time around, Shenghong Printing and Dyeing has also launched a PFAS control plan for the whole process of textile production, which is one of the important measures to achieve a green transformation.

PFAS is the abbreviation of perfluorinated and polyfluoroalkyl substances, which are widely used in textiles because of their excellent chemical properties, being waterproof, oil-proof and anti-fouling. However, PFAS does not easily degrade and is known as an "eternal chemical". It exists in the environment for a long time and is ecologically toxic, posing a potential threat to human health and the ecological environment.
Hence, Shenghong Printing and Dyeing has launched a PFAS control plan for the whole process of textile production, which is at the forefront of the industry in many aspects, realizing a fluorine-free process throughout. Firstly, its has realized cutting-edge detection and accurate traceability, and introduced a high-end liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS) to meet the new inspection requirements for textile PFAS. Secondly, it has ensured the green and intelligent control upgrade of the whole chain, established a special fluorine-free production line that runs through the core links of pre-treatment, dyeing, shaping, etc., and eliminated the risk of cross-contamination through the physical isolation of the whole process. Thirdly, it has strengthened collaborative construction and whole-chain control, and actively cooperated with upstream and downstream partners to jointly build a full-link control model from dyed chemical materials to finished products.
