Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China announced the 2025 green manufacturing list. Shenghong Refining and Chemical (Lianyungang) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Ruibang Technology Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Xinmin Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd., all under the Shenghong Holding Group won the title of national "Green Factory" with their excellent practice and outstanding results in the field of green manufacturing.
The national green factory is selected according to the national standard "General Rules for the Evaluation of Green Factories" (GB/T 36132-2018), which represents the highest level of factory honor for green and low-carbon development in China's industrial field. The evaluation system revolves around the core goals of "land intensification, harmless raw materials, clean and pure production, waste resource management, and low-carbon energy", aiming to show the results of industrial green transformation, establish green manufacturing benchmark enterprises and lead demonstration models.
As a leading domestic private refining and chemical enterprise, Shenghong Refining and Chemical relies on its 16 million tonnes/year refining and chemical integration project and adheres to the concept of "more chemical and less oil, molecular oil refining". Chemical products account for as much as 70% of output. By deeply cultivating low-carbon sources, promoting carbon process reduction, and strengthening terminal carbon fixation, it builds a green development model for the whole process. In 2024, the world's first "carbon dioxide-green methanol-new energy materials" green carbon-negative industry chain will land in Shenghong. Using the high-concentration carbon dioxide emitted by two ethylene glycol units as raw material, Shenghong Refining Chemical builds a 250,000 tonnes/year carbon dioxide recovery and purification project, producing 220,000 tonnes of food-grade liquid carbon dioxide and 30,000 tonnes of food-grade dry ice every year to realize resource recycling. The annual carbon emissions of the project are negative, and the carbon dioxide emission reduction is about 212,000 tonnes/year.
Ruibang Technology is a high-tech enterprise under Shenghong Holding Group focusing on recycled fibers. Relying on the core technology of recycled polyester fiber melt direct spinning, it has created the world's first green industrial chain "from bottle sheets to polyester fiber" and built a whole chain green production system. It can process more than 30 billion waste plastic bottles every year, produce 500,000 tonnes of high-quality recycled fiber, and reduce nearly 1.2 million tonnes of annual carbon.
