On February 7, the 9th Asian Winter Games opened in Harbin, Heilongjiang and Xinhua News Agency launched a large-scale integrated media live broadcast report. The reporter came to the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center and used a 23-minute live broadcast to introduce flexible carbon nanocomposite heating technology to take the technological "temperature" of the Asian Winter Games.
Xinhua News Agency reporters walked into the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, focused on the flexible carbon nanocomposite heating technology developed by the innovation center, and introduced viewers to the scientific and technological "secrets" behind the warm experience of the Asian Winter Games.
In the exhibition hall of the Innovation Center, the mascots of the Asian Winter Games, Binbin and Nini, are displayed. Press and hold the button on the chest of the mascots, and Binbin and Nini will turn into warm dolls; an official scarf of the Asian Winter Games can provide warmth protection for the neck by connecting it to a power bank; a self-heating vest can be made thin and warm through a mobile phone app and a built-in switch in the pocket; the heated steering wheel can reduce the electricity consumption of the tram for heating, allowing the tram to run farther; while the hand warmers made in the image of icy Dundun from the Beijing Winter Olympics are cute and compact.
These products all have one thing in common. Zhang Lin, deputy director of the R&D Department of the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, said, "What the above products have in common is that they all use flexible carbon nanocomposite heating technology. The core material is a film-flexible carbon nanoheating film."
The flexible carbon nanoheating film is a highly conductive and highly stable self-assembled conductive fiber and conductive film developed with carbon nanotube composite three-dimensional conductive material as the continuous phase. Through the protection of two layers of fabric, combined with a temperature sensor, a controller with three-charge protection for overcurrent, short circuit, and overtemperature, and a USB interface, the flexible carbon nanoheating film forms a low-voltage safe heating system with uniform temperature that can be intelligently controlled and machine washed.
Flexible carbon nanocomposite heating technology has been used in the Beijing Winter Olympics earlier. During the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Winter Olympics, large-area heating modules were installed on seats, tabletops, and floors, and low-temperature wireless control components were developed to provide safe, efficient, and technological thermal protection for participating leaders and representatives. Currently, flexible carbon nanocomposite heating technology has achieved breakthroughs in macro-scale production of materials, forming applications in clothing, home textiles, automobiles and other fields to meet customers' different product needs.
Zhang Lin said, "The successful transformation of this technology project is due to the efforts of the entire 'industry-university-research' joint research team including Beijing Aishangjia and Beijing Graphene Technology Research Institute." The National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center was established under the leadership of Shenghong Holding Group and is the first national manufacturing innovation center in the country headed up by a private enterprise. Focusing on the principle of "building an innovation chain from the industrial chain", the Innovation Center Alliance has attracted more than 160 members from leading industry leading enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutes. It focuses on scientific and technological research and development in the fields of high-end fiber materials and textiles, new functional fiber materials, and cutting-edge new fiber materials, and builds an innovation alliance with a full innovation chain from basic research, technology development, product manufacturing, and commercial application.
