Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Materials is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of civilian polyester filaments. Its products cover multiple series such as POY, FDY and DTY. It has subsidiaries such as Jiangsu Guowang High-tech Fiber Co., Ltd., Shenghong New Materials (Suqian) Co., Ltd., Suzhou Shenghong Fiber Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Zhonglu Technology Development Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Ganghong Fiber Co., Ltd. and other subsidiaries. At present, the company's polyester filament series product production capacity is 3.6 million tonnes/year, and the product differentiation rate reaches 90%. There are hundreds of differentiated subdivided products, achieving 100% coverage of differentiated products on the market, leading the entire industry.

The National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center headed up by Shenghong is the 13th national manufacturing innovation center in the country and the first national manufacturing innovation center led by a private enterprise. In addition, the company also has innovative platforms such as a nationally recognized enterprise technology center, a national postdoctoral research workstation, Jiangsu Province Differentiated Multi-component Composite Fiber Engineering Technology Research Center, Jiangsu Province Functional Differentiation Polyester Fiber Engineering Research Center, Suzhou Green Fiber Technology Research Institute, and Suzhou Industrial Design Center. The company possesses independent intellectual property rights in the production of irregularly shaped cross-section and functional polyester filaments, bio-based PTT polyester fiber production, high-quality recycled environmentally friendly polyester filament production, melt-spun fully dull polyester fiber production, melt-spun cationic dyeable modified polyester fiber production, and melt-spun multicomponent composite elastic fiber production. The international standard project "Test Method for Boiling Water Shrinkage of Textile Chemical Fiber Filaments" led by the company has achieved a breakthrough in the formulation and revision of international standards led by domestic chemical fiber companies.

Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Materials practices the concept of green development, has a national-level "green factory", and actively develops and produces green fibers, striving to become an internationally leading green fiber production base. At present, the company's products such as solution-dyed polyester, PTT bio-based fiber and recycled polyester filament have obtained "green fiber" certification. Among them, the recycled fiber production capacity is 600,000 tonnes per year, and nearly 36 billion waste plastic bottles can be recycled throughout the year, which can reduce carbon emissions by nearly 1.3 million tonnes. In 2024, pioneered the engineering technology from carbon dioxide to high-purity ethylene glycol, and innovatively created the world's first low-carbon cycle green industrial chain of "carbon dioxide capture and utilization-green ethylene glycol-functional polyester fiber".
