Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) Smart Factory
The Silbon Petrochemical Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) smart factory is the first production device in China that combines process technology and intelligent technology applications to achieve comprehensive intelligent production and digital operation, creating an intelligent benchmark for the industry.
The PDH smart factory combines Honeywell's UOP process and intelligent interconnection tools. Its operation, process and other data can be operated with one button through the large screen in the central control room. The frequency of manual operation of the device has been reduced by more than 50%, the device automatic control rate has reached 98.41%, and the propylene yield has increased by more than 0.12%. Smart factories are the first in China to use proprietary carbon emission calculation formulas to conduct online real-time monitoring of carbon dioxide emissions, significantly improving energy conservation and emission reduction levels.
In June 2023, the white paper "Dual-Technology Integration, Operational Excellence: Honeywell-Shenghong Petrochemical Smart Factory Practice" was released, providing the industry with a replicable digital transformation template. In the same year, the project won the "Most Influential Engineering Project of the Year" award in China's automation field.
