The new material pilot base of the National East-Central-West Regional Cooperation Demonstration Zone is located in Shenghong Petrochemical Industrial Park, Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base, with a planned total investment of 1.31 billion yuan and a total construction area of ??213,000 square meters.
The project started on December 5, 2024. Relying on the mature industrial supporting facilities of the petrochemical base and the advantages of large chemical industry agglomeration, it will build a professional pilot test scenario, promote technology iterative upgrades, and achieve the first application of independent innovative technologies in key areas. The base has five professional incubation areas and a new material processing area, targeting high-tech fields such as high-end olefin materials, functional polymer materials, electronic chemicals, new energy materials, etc., and providing supporting public services and overall solutions such as pilot platforms, process innovation, equipment verification, and test testing.
After the pilot base is completed, it will become a benchmark for the pilot transformation service platform of new chemical materials in the province, providing important support for the transformation, upgrade and high-quality development of the chemical industry in Jiangsu and even East China.
