Shengbang New Materials Research Institute is a core institution under Jiangsu Shengbang New Materials Co., Ltd. that focuses on the research and development of new aramid materials technology. As an important R&D platform for the Shenghong Holding Group in the aramid industry, it is committed to building a world-class aramid full industry chain technology innovation center.

The institute has an independent R&D building and engineering experimental line. The R&D building covers an area of ??1305.58©O and the total construction area is 3898.95©O. It is equipped with cutting-edge analytical instruments such as electronic universal material testing machine, rotational rheometer, fully automatic spinneret plate microscope, and upright metallographic material microscope. At present, the institute has accepted a total of 29 patents and authorized five patents. It has made important breakthroughs in the fields of high-strength and high-toughness para-aramid fiber and the preparation of para-aramid fiber, and its technical indicators have reached the international advanced level.

In terms of talent, the institute has built a complete talent training system, which consists of an R&D center, a technical quality center, a testing center, a science and technology management department, an intellectual property management platform and an expert committee. It has formed a R&D talent echelon of 56 people, mainly undergraduates, masters and doctoral students from the Top 20 Global Universities and famous overseas universities. In addition, the institute has established close industry-university-research cooperation relationships with domestic universities and research institutes such as Tsinghua University and Sichuan University, forming an innovative ecosystem integrating "industry-university-research-application".
